When I woke up today my legs weren’t sore from all of the walking we did yesterday...until I tried walking back upstairs with Sasha. Since today was my only day in the office, all of my meetings were compressed into today. I only ended up having around an hour to get anything done.
Read MoreIt was great to sleep in without an alarm again this morning since the office was closed today in observance of Memorial Day. With 8 hours of sleep I was able to hit another 10-day streak. It’s great to get back to my normal sleep schedule since it got so screwed up with Synergy. It will take a hit on Wednesday morning when I have to get up at 3:30a for a 6:15a flight to Fargo for Misfit Con.
Read MoreIt took me a while to fall asleep last night but once I did I was able to sleep for 7.5 hours. Today was a much needed rest day from working out. Instead, I just read for a couple of hours while waiting for Laura to wake up.
Read MoreLike most Saturdays, today’s endurance workout was a warm-up of jumping rope for 3 minutes followed by 60 minutes on the elliptical. I was glad that today was an endurance workout because my upper body, including my shoulders, are sore from all of the burpees during this week, including the 75 I performed yesterday.
Read MoreIt was an early start for Laura but luckily I was able to sleep in though Sasha woke me up by 6:30, meaning that I only slept in for an extra 30 minutes. It was still nice to wake up without an alarm. After a busy week, it was great to only have 3 meetings this morning before starting the long weekend.
Read MoreI was so tired last night that as soon as I laid down I passed out. I slept like a rock the entire night, which is unusual for me. I bounced right out of bed and had to get out the door quickly this morning to bring one of our cars in for servicing.
Read MoreLast night was one of those great nights where I woke up at midnight to use the restroom and thought that it was already time to wake up. Why is that so great? Because it makes the other 6 hours feel as if they were extra.
Read MoreI’m feeling almost fully recovered from Synergy but still dragging a bit. Another full night of sleep tonight and I’ll feel back to normal. The past two days have been filled with figuring out everything that hasn’t gotten done over the last few weeks once we had Synergy-only tunnel vision leading up to the event…and then starting to tackle it all.
Read MoreEven though I slept for another nearly 8 hours last night, I woke up feeling exhausted. We joke at work about having a Synergy hangover but until you go through Synergy you never really understand it. I know that it will wear off over the next few days but, as of now, I’m still yawning and yearning for more sleep.
Read MoreUpon waking up this morning I realized that I hadn’t woken up once during the night. With excitement I then checked my phone to see that I had slept for 8+ hours for the first time in more than a week. While waiting for Laura to wake up I continued to do a bit of brain dumping.
Read MoreIt felt amazing to sleep in my own bed last night. I crashed hard and didn’t wake up until 7:15a, getting almost 8 hours of sleep. That doesn’t sound late but when you consider that my body is still on ET, 7:15a felt really late.
Read MoreMy morning got off to a very early start since I had to get to the airport. Though I was exhausted, it didn’t matter what time I had to get up, I was excited to head home. It was a successful and exhausting week with great friends and team members but I was really happy to get back to Laura, Sasha, Darren and some sense of normalcy.
Read MoreIt was another night of not getting to sleep until 1:30a but it was well worth it to get time to hang out with my team. I was able to sleep in little bit longer this morning, not getting up until 6:50a to start the last and final day at Synergy.
Read MoreI went from 5.5 hours of sleep two nights ago to only 4 hours of sleep last night. In fact, when my alarm went off this morning I accidentally turned off my alarm, falling back asleep for another 30 minutes.
Read MoreI knew I was at Synergy when I woke up this morning, looked at my UP band and saw that I had only gotten 5.5 hours of sleep last night. Though I was exhausted and really wanted to go back to sleep, I had to get over to the Orange County Convention Center to be immediately thrown into the fire.
