Day 318: Reps of 10

I was able to get 7+ hours of sleep last night even though I did wake up twice during the night. When I first woke up at around 1:00a I thought that it was 6:00a. It always feels like bonus sleep when you think it’s later then it really is. Yesterday my meetings were back to back thus giving me the day to focus on other work. Today was a completely different story.

Day 314: Inspiring People in Other Countries

Fridays are nice since I don’t have to head out by a certain time to get to my office so it gives me a bit more time to sleep before getting up. With only a few meetings on the calendar it gave me time to catch up on and start a number of projects. I also took a bit of time to chat with a friend of mine who just came back from a political hotspot overseas where she had been for the better part of a year doing work for her company’s client.

Day 312: Start by Making the Bed

While driving into work this morning, as usual, I listened to a couple of podcasts. One of them was an episode of the Spartan Up! podcast  This episode was an interview between Joe De Sena and current Twitter CEO, Dick Costolo. During the interview, which I highly recommend that you watch/listen to, they talk about the best way to move forward is to start with just making your bed then just getting dressed, etc.

Day 311: Tough Sprint Intervals & Warriors Win

This morning got off to a rocky start because Laura didn’t sleep well and was feeling sick this morning. I took time to help take care of her so that she could rest for a few more hours before heading into her office late. The theme of this week seems to be back-to-back meetings all day long. I only had about an hour free around lunch and a bit of time at the end of the day with 7 meetings packed in throughout the day.

Day 309: A Morning Starting with Fatigue

Sasha and Darren decided to follow up yesterday’s 6:30a wake-up by getting me up at 6:10a this morning. After taking care of them I sat down to do some reading and catch up online when I suddenly was overcome with another wave of fatigue similar to what I felt on Friday. I ended up falling back asleep for 30 minutes before finally waking up for the day, even though I remained exhausted for the majority of the day.

Day 306: Waking Up with Stomach Aches

I woke up in the middle of the night with one of the worse stomach aches that I’ve had during chemo. It only took me a few minutes to fall back asleep but it didn’t feel great for the time that I was awake. The only other time I felt that bad was when I was coming home from the gym one evening. That time I think I had just pushed my body too hard.
