Day 212: Blood Work, Chemo and A Hard Spartan Workout

While vacations are nice, it felt amazing to sleep in our own bed. I was able to get just shy of 7 hours of sleep after not really sleeping consistently over the weekend. I had an early appointment to get blood drawn to see if the levels that our neuro-oncologist was concerned about had come back up. Luckily I had a great phlebotomist so I barely felt a pinch when he drew the blood. I can’t say that about every time I have had blood drawn or had IVs set up for contrasts.

Day 206: Getting My License Back (Again)

Before going to bed last night I spent time stretching due to soreness throughout my feet, calves and shins however when I woke up this morning that soreness was still there. I decided to head back to bed to give my body a day to rest. I’m sure the soreness has come from all of the running that I’ve done in the last few days. Hopefully taking today off helps my body to heal and I’ll get back at it tomorrow morning.

Day 204: Trying Spartan WODs for March

With another 8 hours of sleep last night I hit a 10-day streak for the first time in a couple of months. It feels good to hit a 10-day sleep streak due to the focus that I have been putting on sleep. The one thing that this doesn’t take into consideration is when I get close to 7 hours of sleep. There are many times that I still get 6.75 hours of sleep though that doesn’t count since I set my goal at 7 hours per night.
