Day 200: Saying Thank You

While getting over 7 hours of total sleep, I managed to get nearly 4 hours of deep sleep last night which is the most that I have gotten lately.

I was still tired when my alarm went off at 5:00a but dragged myself out of bed and over to the gym.

Since I was running a bit behind I didn’t take time to stretch my shoulders. I did a bit of dynamic stretching for my legs and then jumped on the treadmill. I ran for 20 mins at a 10:30 min/mile pace, covering around 1.75 miles.

It’s a bit frustrating that I can’t go for longer on the treadmill since I can easily run 4 miles outdoors. But, since it was around 38 degrees when I walked over to the gym and I don’t have cold running gear, there was no way I was going for an outdoor run.

In addition to having several meetings today, I also had a number of people stop by my office, IMs and emails that I had to deal with. These interruptions aren’t abnormal for a normal workday for me but today they were at a more frantic pace.

It was a very busy and productive day that left me exhausted by the time I headed home on the train.

It made me feel good getting 12,000+ steps today, hitting a 3-day streak of getting 10,000+ steps per day.

The walks to/from the train platform help me to gain a lot of additional steps on a daily basis, something that I wasn’t getting when we lived in Tiburon.

By the time Laura came home from work she had had a long day so we decided to head out for dinner.

It was fun grabbing snacks and drinks tonight since it is not normal for us to go out on a Wednesday.

I do want to take time to say thank you to everyone who has reached out to me since posting the photo of the chemo pills last night. Your ongoing support from the first night to 200 days later is so meaningful to us. We still read every status update, email, IM, message or text we receive even if I don’t respond to every one  of them.
