Day 482: Another MRI and More Blood Work

Since I had to leave early for my appointments at UCSF I got right to it as soon as I woke up this morning. I didn’t want the day to be a complete wash. After having my MRI I met with our neuro-oncologist. She said that the scans showed that the surgical area continues to heal well. The tumor remnants are responding well to the chemo and are not attempting to form back together.

Day 474: Happy Thanksgiving 2015

With 450+ days of daily writing under my belt, it is interesting to go back and read my updates from a year ago. This time last year we were only 3.5 months separated from my initial seizures and 2.5 months separated from my brain surgery. It had been a miracle that we were able to make it out to CT since we were unsure if we’d be able to make the trip due to all of the medical issues.

Day 472: Crushing My Shoulders

It was another good night of sleep with only waking up once even though I had one of those nightmares that just keeps pestering you even when you wake up to try fighting it off. After having breakfast I headed to the gym so that the day wouldn’t slip away on me without being able to go lift. I went to the gym that my in-laws use but tomorrow I will likely try a new gym that opened up a couple of years right up the street from them.
