Day 62: Only Waking Up Once Overnight

I was excited when I woke up this morning realizing that I only woke up once during the night. I haven’t woken up that little since before my injuries. Day 60: Taking Time to Relax

Though I slept about the same amount as previous nights, last night I didn’t wake up with night sweats. Hopefully that means that the narcotics have worked their way out of my system finally. I still woke up 3 times throughout the night. I’m still not back to sleeping throughout the night without waking up or only waking up once, as was typical before the injuries.

Day 59: Increased Shoulder Mobility

I continued to improve my sleep quality last night getting 7+ hours of sleep again but only waking up 3 times throughout the night. One of the times I woke up I still woke up sweaty like the previous night. Day 52: No More Slings

Last night I slept without the slings again. I slept really well, getting 5.5 hours of deep sleep, according to my UP24, which is more than I was getting on average before my injuries. When I woke up twice during the night Laura did not even wake up which made me happy. For almost two months she has been waking up several times per night to help me. As I have become more independent again that has lessened by the day.

Day 51: Sleeping Without Slings and Staples Removal

I woke up four times throughout the night which is more than I have in a few weeks. I think it was because there was a colder breeze coming through our sliding glass door. It was also the first night that I tried sleeping without my slings. I figured it was only two more nights before losing them anyway. I do not roll in the middle of the night so I was confident that I would stay on my back (which I did).
