Day 62: Only Waking Up Once Overnight

I was excited when I woke up this morning realizing that I only woke up once during the night. I haven’t woken up that little since before my injuries. Another small victory.

I had physical therapy scheduled again today as we work to jump it into a 3x per week schedule. My appointment was this morning instead of later afternoon like it has been.

My physical therapist was again happy with the increased mobility in my shoulders.

We didn’t do aquatic therapy since we had done it just last night. Instead, we used ultrasound technology, did dynamic stretching and then completed a number of exercises.

To stay active I have enjoyed walking back and forth to PT each day. It’s a great way to get in around 2,500 steps.

While walking back from PT I was able to see several planes coming in for Fleet Week which was cool.

We didn’t get any flyovers throughout the day but could hear the fighter jets, likely the Blue Angels, flying their test runs.

I published a new article about what life lessons I have learned from my injuries. It has gotten great feedback throughout the day.

I was happy that I got back on track with working on the new Built Unstoppable feature. I’m dealing with a few hurdles to getting it launched but still looking forward to getting it out there next week.

As I am gearing up to start back at work next week I am grateful that my neurosurgeon ordered me to only start part-time.

I wasn’t too thrilled about it when he first signed the paperwork. But, only having 20 hours to fit everything in each week, I need to build back up my work stamina.

I’m looking forward to this weekend - enjoying my cheat day tomorrow and then spending Sunday watching football.

Laura and I are relaxing tonight watching the next season of Parks & Recreation on Netflix. I figured since I watched the previous 90 or so episodes that I should watch the new season. It’s a funny show and a great way to spend a Friday night.
