Day 405: Getting Back on Track

After the busyness of this week I slept hard last night, not waking up once throughout the night and woke up this morning without my alarm. Even though I only slept in until 6:30a, it felt as if I had slept until mid-morning.

With only one quick meeting scheduled for today, I was able to catch up on both work and personal tasks, rest and enjoy a day at home.

For the first time since Sunday I was able to get in a workout. As planned, I completed a 5k run on the treadmill at a 12-15 minute/mile pace.

Though my legs were fresh, cardio endurance slides fast after several days off so I am glad that I did the run.

It has been a well needed night of relaxation including enjoying leftovers and binge-watching a series on Netflix.

I’m really looking forward to the 49ers Rush obstacle run tomorrow. It will be fun to run a NFL Combine style course.

I’m glad that it’s only 15-20 minutes away from our home because it’ll allow me to have a pre-workout meal and my pre-workout powders to help give me energy.

When I ran the Spartan race, though I completed it, I only ate 1/2 of a protein bar and completely forgot that I had brought my pre-workout powders with me.

It’ll be nice to hang out with Laura tomorrow when I get back home from the race. We have both had long weeks and having the weekend to recoup will be great.
