Day 293: Coming Back Home After Another Day of Inspiration

I accidentally turned off my alarm when it went off this morning thus causing me to fall back asleep for another 25 minutes. Luckily, I had set my alarm early enough that I still made it over to MisfitCon for breakfast only 5 minutes after it was served.

When I arrived at the art gallery this morning I received a gift from my talk this morning:

"The @misfitinc logo with one of my takeaways from yesterday inked. Very cool. #misfitcon"

The morning was filled with additional inspiring talks and performers. I was sad that I had to leave at lunchtime to make my flight because I know that the afternoon and tomorrow with be filled with so much more inspiration.

Throughout the morning I continued to have people thank me for my talk yesterday. Many probed with additional questions, whether they be about specific medical details or about how supportive work has been or sharing stories about their family members and friends.

A major reason why I continue to publish every single day is because of that inspiration and those stories.

It is a small task for me to sit down and share my journey knowing how big of an impact it is making on others’ lives.

My UberX driver to the airport was the same person who picked me up at the airport when I arrived. We spent the entire trip to the airport talking about what AJ and Melissa Leon do.

He told me that after dropped me off he went searching online for their company because of how many people he was picking up at the airport who came to Fargo for the event.

It was a fun conversation on our way to the airport because of just how amazing both AJ and Melissa are.

My flights were relatively uneventful. On my flight from MSP to SJC we had some light chop that tossed the plane around a bit but other than that, it was a smooth flight home.

It was nice to see Laura when I got home. She met me downstairs so that we could immediately go out to dinner and hang out for a while. As usual, we decided to go to our favorite Mexican restaurant.

Though exhausting, I have had an amazing couple of days with both old and new friends. I am very thankful for every moment I had and conversation that I shared.

Spartan scheduled a rest day for tomorrow instead of Sunday, as usual, but I think I’m going to flip that around this week since I missed 2 workouts while traveling.

I desperately need to stretch my shoulders out since I didn’t get in any mobility exercises during the last 3 days.

I know there are a lot of people that are reading this that are going through struggles of their own. Again, remember: Everyone is built unstoppable, whether they realize it or not.
