Day 272: More Fatigue and a Sore Left Shoulder

I ended waking up twice during the night and, even though I didn’t set an alarm, I was up only 30 minutes later than my usual alarm. Based on how Sasha was whining I thought that I had been able to sleep an extra 1-1.5 hours.

I was a bit fatigued when I woke up but the nausea wasn’t nearly what it was yesterday morning. After taking Sasha out I climbed back into bed for a bit before getting the day started.

Thankfully the fatigue wore off once the day got underway but the nausea hung around on again, off again.

The week of being on chemo and the following week make my stomach feel a bit off, even when I can’t pinpoint whether it is nausea or not.

Fortunately, my meeting schedule was pretty light thus giving me a chance to pace myself during the day.

After my rest day yesterday, I was looking forward to today's WOD

Warm-up

  • Jump Rope - 2 minutes
  • 10 - Glute Kickbacks
  • 10 - Jumping Lunges
  • 10 - Star Jumps
  • 10 - Wide Pushups

Main set

PREFORM EACH EXERCISE FOR ONE MINUTE. THEN REST 1 MINUTE. REPEAT 3 TOTAL ROUNDS.

THEN PERFORM EACH EXERCISE FOR ONE MINUTE. THEN REST 1 MINUTE. REPEAT 3 TOTAL ROUNDS.

By the time I finished the first set of exercises, my shoulders were shot. I couldn’t keep my chin above the bar for more than a few seconds. Before injuring myself, I decided to skip straight to the planks.

On the surface the workout didn’t look that hard but 30 seconds into the low push-up hold I knew it was going to be a long workout.

Once I came back home and cooled down, my left shoulder felt really sore. I’m sure that it will feel better by the morning.

Unfortunately I didn’t have time to work on shoulder mobilizations tonight but am hoping to do it tomorrow.

Tonight we have been relaxing before I take the next dose of chemo in 30 minutes from the time that I’m writing this.
