Day 415: Reading My Timehop Updates
My right ankle and lower shin were significantly sore and in pain with each step I took when I woke up this morning.
It’s gotten to the point that I’m going to need to wave the proverbial white flag and get it looked at soon. My guess is that it’s a stress fracture or something similar to that.
While eating breakfast I was scanning Timehop and saw that it was one year ago that I went to a work event for Laura’s restaurant group. It was following us going out on our second date the previous night after the surgeries.
It sounds minor but they were major victories at the time especially as I was regaining stamina.
Each day that I read my status update from the year before it makes me proud of how far we have come over the last year. And with every status update I read the supportive comments that everyone took time out of their day to leave us.
I feel very fortunate to have the family, friends, colleagues and community who have supported us every step of the way.
The work day was busy with meetings and two trainings for the new blog that we’re launching on Wednesday. I was really happy with how the trainings went and the level of interaction with our authors.
Mid-afternoon Laura left me a voicemail that she had to head home early to finish working because she wasn’t feeling well.
I heard from one of my best friends that he’s coming to visit in a couple of weeks which is exciting news. He typically comes out every year for a week but didn’t last year because of everything going on.
I didn’t go to the gym tonight since I didn’t get home from work until later. It’s good to give my ankle the night to rest after the stress of our walk yesterday. I will get back into the gym tomorrow when I get home, as usual.
