Day 413: Walking Around Campbell
With temperatures in the mid-50s last night, I slept hard overnight only waking up to turn over a couple of times.
Yesterday was the first time in nearly two weeks that I had completed a workout that involved a high volume of squats and lunges. This morning I could feel the results of that work when I tried to get out of bed.
Since Laura had an early hair appointment we went to Starbucks and out for breakfast earlier than usual so that I could drop her off.
I came back home so that I could sneak in a quick workout before picking her up and going out for the day.
My workout was fairly simple:
Warm-Up
- Dynamic stretching
- Elliptical - 5- minutes
Main Set
- Elliptical - 30 seconds sprint x 30 seconds recovery
x10 rounds
Cool Down
- Elliptical - 5 minutes
- Stretching
The entire elliptical workout was completed in under 20 minutes but still left me drenched in sweat. Though the majority of my workouts last 45 minutes to an hour, it is possible to get very effective workouts in a short period of time.
I was really happy that my ankles held up well to the hard work and am hoping that they’re not sore tomorrow when I wake up.
We had only walked around the small town where Laura gets her hair done when we were originally taking tours of apartments before moving down here.
It was a beautiful day with temperatures hovering around 79 degrees so we walked around town for a couple of hours before stopping at a small sandwich shop for lunch.
We came back home in the late afternoon to hang out for the rest of the day including binge watching more of “Heroes” finally finishing the first season.
