Day 394: Another Round, Another Pharmacy Issue

After taking my chemo last night I realized that they had only shipped enough meds to get through four complete days.

The instructions on the prescription even mentions five days at three pills per day but the quantity on one of the packages was listed as 12 with that number circled.

Simple math eluded the person who filled the order and verified it. I didn’t notice it when they first came in since I didn’t have any reason to question it.

The pharmacy was closed today due to the holiday. Tomorrow I’m going to call them to have the missing pills shipped to my hotel in Cleveland.

I slept through the night without waking up and when I woke up I wasn’t feeling nauseous at all.

Sasha wasn’t feeling well overnight so before going to the gym I had to clean up after her which is never a fun task.

The new Spartan WOD wasn’t posted by the time I headed to the gym. I decided to do another upper body lifting session since I enjoyed doing one last week so much and my lower body was still sore:

Warm Up

  • Dynamic stretching
  • Jog - 5 minutes

Main Set

  • Single-arm medicine ball pushups - 10 reps per side
  • Lat pulldowns - 4 sets x 15, 12, 10, 8 reps
  • Alternating bicep curls - 3 main sets x 12, 10, 6 reps
  • Tricep pushdowns - 4 sets x 15, 12, 10, 8 reps
  • Front raises - 3 sets x 15 reps per set
  • Alternating standing oblique twist - 3 sets x 15 reps per side
  • Woodchoppers (low to high) - 3 sets x 15 reps per side
  • Woodchoppers (high to low) - 3 sets x 15 reps per side

I was happy with the workout and will likely continue cycling an upper body lifting session in from time to time.

We had originally planned on going for a picnic or to lay by the pool today but Laura woke up with a head cold. With Laura and Sasha both not feeling well, we decided to make it a binge-watching TV day.

While it would have been nice to spend time outside, it was equally as nice to just enjoy a day watching TV with Laura.

Tonight I had my fantasy football draft. Though I’m excited to have football starting this week, we’ll see how excited I am about my fantasy team after the season gets underway.

Tomorrow I head to Cleveland for Content Marketing World  I’m speaking on a panel there on Wednesday before flying to Boston for my Inbound speaking gig.

Flights are always a nice time to spend thinking, brainstorming, reading and getting through work that has been stacking up in the busyness of the work week.
