Day 340: A Great Day at Work and a Short Workout
I had a fitful night of sleep last night, waking up several times either to go to the bathroom, due to a loud noise outside or just to turn over.
Of course it was the first night that I was wearing my new UP band so I got to see all of the evidence in the morning when I looked at the app. I was still able to get 6.75 hours of sleep so that was good.
I had a great day at work. I didn’t have many meetings, though the ones that I did have were productive and we were able to make good progress across a number of projects.
I only had 20 minutes to workout when I came home so I ran a low-intensity mile on the treadmill at a 12 min/mile pace after working on shoulder mobilizations.
I had already planned on shutting down for these last few days, focusing on low-intensity cardio, but due to a few things I had less time than usual to workout tonight hence why my workout was so short.
Once I came home I used one of my torture devices, aka my TriggerPoint GRID, to break up a lot of the soreness in my legs, back and upper shoulders.
Over the next few days I’m going to spend as much time as I can stretching and rolling out my body in preparation for Saturday.
Though I typically drink 3 liters to a gallon of water per day, I am being careful to ensure that I’m hydrating my body as much as possible by making a note of how much I’m drinking throughout the day.
Tomorrow will be my typical rest day especially since Laura and I have a date night planned to go see Kevin Hart perform as he stops through San Jose on his “What Now Tour”.
