Day 328: Our Final Full Day in Cabo

Overnight the soreness in my left shoulder kicked back in causing me to wake up and move around to try alleviating the pain.

I haven’t stretched it as extensively as I do when I’m home. Combine that with not working out and spending hours per day laying in the same position equals a recipe for soreness.

We wanted to spend as much time as we could by the pool since today is our last full day before flying home tomorrow.

It was another really hot day so we went back and forth between being in the pool, drying off and putting on suntan lotion.

I finished reading "Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage” which was a mind-blowing real-life story that also includes several examples of leadership. I spent the rest of my time reading a couple of fitness magazines.

I try to read either a book or magazine for at least 30 minutes per day in addition to news sites and blogs but I never get as much time as I would like. It was nice getting through 3 books and 2 magazines this week.

We made dinner reservations at a restaurant that we really enjoyed last year for their churros. Yes, we chose our final dinner based on what we wanted for dessert. It was a delicious dinner with a beautiful sunset.

Tomorrow morning we plan on going down to the pool for an hour or so before packing up and heading off to the airport.

It has been an amazing vacation in paradise. It was so nice to get away from everything for the last week.

This coming week will not only be busy with getting back to the grind but I also have to go for my Day 28 blood work Monday morning. If I get the green light by mid-afternoon then Monday night I will start my fifth round of chemo.

We were fortunate to structure vacation around my chemo rounds but now it’s time to snap back to reality.

I will be on chemo next week, which I plan on working out during, and then will have another couple additional training sessions before I shut it down a few days out from my Spartan race.
