Day 20: Finishing IV Antibiotics Treament
Today was my last day of receiving IV antibiotics treatments - woohoo!
After pushing myself hard yesterday I gave myself a day to rest - no walks or running stairs. I'll get back to the exercise tomorrow.
For those that have been concerned about how hard I've been pushing myself, know that beyond everything that I have been doing I have also watched almost all 90 episodes of Parks & Recreation. So, I have been doing a lot of relaxing as well.
For the first time in nearly three weeks I have been able to type on my laptop. My ortho surgeon gave me the clearance yesterday. I can only sit up and type for short periods of time but it is much nicer than using one thumb to type these updates and reply to everyone.
I certainly would have never imagined not opening my laptop for three weeks but two fractured shoulders will do that!
We still have to do pendulum swings tonight which will be hard but helps with the recovery. Each day my shoulders are healing a bit more. It will be several months before they are fully healed but we are celebrating the small wins.
I had amazing GoToMeeting chats with both AJ Leon and Pamela Slim today. Both are incredible friends and who's advice I deeply value. I'm looking forward to catching up next with Jonathan Fields on Sunday.
I continue to make progress on a new way to provide these daily updates and to be even more helpful to you. I'm hoping to unveil it next week.
I hope that everyone has a fantastic weekend especially if you're in the United States and you're rolling into the holiday weekend.
