Last night was probably the most restful sleep I've gotten over the past week in the hospital. They were finally able to get a fan for the room and position me in a semi-comfortable pretzels.

Read MoreThe pain in my shoulders became excruciating last night so the nursing staff had to come in every couple hours overnight to give me a variety of pain meds. The pain was also causing me to shake uncontrollably and caused my temperature to go up.

I will be staying here through then and then will be transferred to UCSF for the brain surgery, probably late next week but they're still working on getting that scheduled.
Read MoreAfter meeting with the shoulder surgeon, the reduction scheduled for this morning has been canceled. When he looked at all of my files, as well as sending them to one of the top shoulder surgeons in the country at Harvard, it was determined that both shoulders are not only dislocated but they are also both fractured. Of course, this is a rare case that they don't usually see.

Read MoreI was able to sleep through most of the night after not falling asleep the previous night ending until 6:15a. Over a couple of hours several nurses and assistants came though to give me meds, take vital signs and do some other tasks.

Read MoreI made it through the MRI and another round of catscans. I won't get to meet with the neurosurgeon until tomorrow but surgery looks like within the next 1-2 days. They have found some type of abcess on my brain...thinking likely tumor but they won't know before consulting with neurosurgeon. They also don't know whether the abcess is benign or not.
