What Being Built Unstoppable Means

When I decided to move my daily updates from Facebook to an external blog I was fortunate enough to have the help of Jason and Caroline Zook as well as AJ and Melissa Leon. Caroline designed the initial logo, blog, and her and Jason took the time to pull in all of the Facebook updates.

While we were going through this process we were collectively trying to decide what to call the website. If my memory serves me correctly, it was AJ who suggested that it be called Built Unstoppable.

Initially I was uncomfortable with the name even though we were moving forward with the launch because I did not consider my recovery to be an example of being built unstoppable. However, what I did acknowledge was that my daily updates were inspiring others to take action in their lives.

As I was preparing to talk with a few friends over the coming weeks I realized that I had never fully defined what being built unstoppable fully means.

Being built unstoppable means that by dealing with whatever is going in your life one step, one day and one challenge at a time, you can deal with whatever lay ahead for you.

A few keys to being built unstoppable:

  • You don’t let hurdles get in your way. Always search for a way to overcome them.

  • You stay determined. Always.

  • You look for ways to inspire those around you.

  • You never stop learning.

  • Be willing to go outside of your comfort zone.

  • Exercise regularly.

  • Eat healthy (most of the time).

  • Continually look for ways to improve yourself.

Now, you may be scratching your head thinking to yourself these are all pretty basic. I would agree however these basics help you build yourself both physically and mentally to be built unstoppable.

In what ways are you pushing yourself to be built unstoppable?
