Day 69: Closing Out My First Week Back to Work

Last night I woke up a few times overnight. When I woke up at 11:45p I was so deep asleep that I thought it was 6:30a until I looked at the clock.

One thing I don’t understand is why I woke up during the night feeling that loss of feeling along the outside of my hands again. It is something that I haven’t felt in weeks. While it wasn’t as bad as when I was wearing my slings, it still felt odd.

My work day was again split between hour-long meetings and then a couple hours to get other work done. It’s been hard to pace myself at only 4 hours per day but I held true to it every day.

I had the joy of having my arms stretched and bent in new ways today during physical therapy. Going through stretches is always the most painful of every session even though I know it is one of the best parts for healing.

Tonight we cooked dinner and decided to relax watching “A Million Ways to Die in the West”. While not nearly as funny as “Neighbors” was, it was still funny though I am happy that we didn’t see it in the theaters.

As my first week back at work comes to a close, I am happy to be getting back to my normal routine.

That brings about an interesting question that I have been thinking about:

As life is getting back to normal (or least a new normal), are daily updates still interesting to you or would regular but not daily updates be of more interest?

I can foresee these updates becoming repetitious but am happy to keep publishing them on a daily basis if they are of interest to you.

There will be several other updates such as me transitioning to full-time, seeing my neuro and orthopedic surgeons, going for a new MRI, etc.

So what say you? Either hit reply or comment to let me know what you would like.

I hope that you had a good close out to your work week and have a great weekend planned!
