Day 423: Hard Elliptical Intervals

Our timing was a bit off last night by the time we ate dinner so it delayed when I could take my chemo. I also ended up waking up a few times throughout the night. Both of those combined meant that I was more tired than I usually am when my alarm goes off.

I had several meetings throughout the day, as usual for a Tuesday when I try to stack up my team meetings.

With a couple of team members on PTO or traveling, I used that downtime to work on a 2016 planning meeting that I am scheduling for later in the year.

Mid-day I went for a chair massage. I only scheduled a 15 minute massage since I had never used the massage therapist before. He was fantastic and I will absolutely be scheduling longer massages with him in the future.

Others like soft massages or different styles of massages such as the use of hot stones, etc. Not me.

It’s hard for me to get a good massage because I like very aggressive massages. I prefer the massage to be excruciating, if it needs to be, in order to break up any junk in my back, neck and shoulders.

My right ankle wasn’t sore or in pain after back-to-back-to-back cardio sessions between Friday-Sunday when I used the elliptical twice and then went for a walk. So, with that knowledge, I increased the elliptical another level and crushed a 30 minute interval training session.

I was so drenched in sweat that I had to take off my t-shirt before even getting back home.

So far I haven’t had any major issues with my chemo this week as we head into the third dosage tonight. I have had a couple of minor issues that are normal but still haven’t even had a loss of hunger which is impressive.
