Day 311: Tough Sprint Intervals & Warriors Win

This morning got off to a rocky start because Laura didn’t sleep well and was feeling sick this morning.

I took time to help take care of her so that she could rest for a few more hours before heading into her office late.

The theme of this week seems to be back-to-back meetings all day long. I only had about an hour free around lunch and a bit of time at the end of the day with 7 meetings packed in throughout the day.

While work is always insanely busy, the week post-chemo is crazy for me since I try to keep my schedule lighter during the week on chemo.

I was able to get out of the office on time so I didn’t have any issues finding parking, unlike yesterday which was just ridiculous

Once I got home I changed up quickly and rushed over to the gym so that I could my workout in before the Warriors-Cavs game started. Today’s WOD was:

Cool Down:

Stretch

I was able to run my fastest time on the treadmill today getting my time to a 6:45 minute/mile average.

It causes the total time to be a bit off since it takes a minute to get the treadmill up to full speed so it only leaves around 50 meters to be at a full sprint.

After taking the last couple of days off it felt good to stretch out my shoulders, especially before putting them through the torture of my workout.

I rushed back upstairs to watch the NBA Finals and was so engrossed in it that I completely forgot to eat dinner though I did have my protein shake as soon as I came back from the gym.

It is so awesome to have watched the Warriors win and Andre Iguodola be named the NBA Finals MVP. He is a great example of putting the team ahead of personal goals and trusting in the coaching staff.

Tomorrow will be another busy day at work even though it won’t quite be back-to-back like the past 2 days have been.
