Day 233: Another Round of Blood Work
Before passing out last night I started reading Simon Sinek’s “Leaders Eat Last” which I have had on my reading wish list for a while. Though I only had a chance to read a few pages it seems like it is going to be a great read.
I woke up with a terrible headache that refused to go away throughout the day even though I took Aleve when I got to my office this morning. I must have slept wrong on my pillow or something.
I started my day off by going for a CBC (complete blood count) blood test ahead of starting chemo again next Monday. I will have to go back on Friday for another round of blood work to test liver function.
The blood test results were posted in my file tonight. Though I don’t know what the various levels mean, looking at the normal ranges versus my test results, it appears the levels came back normal.
Assuming that the levels are normal then the neuro-oncology team will place an order for the next round of chemo with the special home delivery pharmacy.
My team arrived mid-morning and we got right to work including a planning meeting with our new agency, SHIFT Communications.
After the meeting and spending a bit of time catching up on email we went over to Levi’s Stadium for dinner at Bourbon Steak & Pub for dinner.
It was a great day with the team but I am completely exhausted. Tomorrow will bring an even busier day with 9 meetings including several hours of back-to-back meetings.
I didn’t have a chance to workout or stretch my shoulders today but am hoping to get to the gym tomorrow before a team dinner on Wednesday.
