Day 108: Rolling Onto My Side

Last night I hit a 3-day streak getting another 8+ hours of sleep including 4+ hours of deep sleep. It has been nice getting more sleep this week while in CT.

My goal is to get at least 7 hours of sleep each night so getting 8-9 hours of sleep is wonderful. What’s even more important is the quality of sleep that I’m getting and that’s why I’m happy when I get 4-5+ of deep sleep.

The big win last night was being able to roll onto my right side for the first time. I wasn’t able to fall back asleep while on my side but was able to stay on my side without pain in either shoulder.

When I woke up my phone was completely dead even though I had taken it off the charger and put it into airplane mode right before going to sleep. Over the last couple of weeks my phone has continued to not hold a charge for increasing periods of time. That will hopefully be easily solved by ordering two new batteries.

I went to the local gym with my mother-in-law this morning to complete a resistance band and cardio workout.

Though I was able to complete my full workout I noticed how destroyed my external and internal rotation in my left shoulder and elbow are since my seizure last Tuesday. The seizure definitely set me a couple of weeks back from where I was.

As my body has recovered from the seizure I haven’t noticed any impact in my range of motion so at least that’s a good thing.

After finishing my workout I ran through a number of shoulder exercises and stretches while waiting for my mother-in-law to finish up her workout.

Once back at the house I had to turn my attention to a day full of meetings - 6 hours of back-to-back meetings with a quick break for lunch.

As the night sets in I’m getting excited for a heavy snowstorm tomorrow. I have wanted a snowstorm for the last 3 years and the best I have gotten were some flurries last year. With no plans of leaving the house tomorrow I am looking forward to watching the snow fall.
